JURISDICTION The jurisdiction of the Aurangabad Central Excise Commissionerate is notified vide Notification No. 27/2014-CE(NT) dated 16/09/2014 and is as under : Aurangabad Commissionerate jurisdiction includes Aurangabad, Nanded, Beed, Jalna, Osmanabad, Latur, Parbhani, and Hingoli districts of Maharashtra state. Further, as per Trade Notice no. 04/2017 dated 21/06/2017 issued by Chief Commissioner, Nagpur zone, Nagpur, the Aurangabad commissionerate is re-organized, with effect from 15/10/2015. Thus, Aurangabad commissionerate consist of five central excise division as below. 1. Aurangabad Urban, 2. Aurangabad Rural, 3. Jalna Division, 4. NandedDivision, 5. Customs Division. The jurisdiction of the aforesaid divisions along with their ranges as follows... Name of  Division/Range Jurisdiction 1. Aurangabad Urban Aurangabad Tehsil including Municipal limits of Aurangabad City of Aurangabad District. Shendra Shendra MIDC in Aurangabad Tehsil. Chikalthana Chikalthana MIDC in Aurangabad Tehsil. City - I Name of the assessees starting with alphabet "A to J and Numerals 86 Symbols" of Aurangabad Tehsil including Municipal limits of Aurangabad but excluding Shendra MIDC 86 Chikalthana MIDC areas. City - II Name of the assessees starting with alphabet "K to R" in Aurangabad Tehsil including Municipal limits of Aurangabad but excluding Shendra MIDC 86 Chikalthana MIDC areas. City - III Name of the assessees starting with alphabet "S to Z" in Aurangabad Tehsil including Municipal limits of Aurangabad but excluding Shendra MIDC 86 Chikalthana MIDC areas. 2. Aurangabad Rural All Tehsils of Auarangabad District excluding areas falling in Aurangabad urban Division.  Paithan Paithan Tehsil of urangabad District Waluj - I Sector A,B,C,D,E and W of Waluj MIDC. Waluj - II All other Sectors excluding sectors in Waluj Range-I of Waluj MIDC. Gangapur Gangapur Tehsil (excluding Waluj MIDC);and Vaijapur Tehsil Sillod Sillod , Phulambri , Soyegaon , Khuldabad and Kannad Tehsils of Aurangabad District. 3. Jalna Division Districts of Jalna, Prabhani, Beed & Osmanabad. Jalna Urban Jalna Tehsil including Municipal limit of Jalna Tehsil in Jalna District. Jalna Rural All other Tehsils of Jalna District excluding areas falling under Range Jalna (Urban). Parbhani Parbhani District. Beed Beed District. Osmanabad Osmanabad District. 4. Nanded Division Districts of Nanded, Hingoli and Latur Nanded Urban Nanded Tehsil including Municipal limit of Nanded Tehsil in Nanded District. Nanded Rural All other Tehsils of Nanded District excluding areas falling under Range Nanded (Urban). Hingoli Hingoli District. Latur Urban Latur Tehsil including Municipal limit of Latur Tehsil in Latur District. Latur Rural All other Tehsils of Latur District excluding areas falling under Range Latur (Urban). In the areas covered by Central Tax, Aurangabad Commissionerate, the following are the Customs formations 5.1 ICD Maliwada & ICD Waluj All Customs related work at ICD, Maliwada, ICD, Waluj and following SEZ : (i) SEZ, Shendra (Developed by MIDC) (ii) SEZ, Shendra (Developed by Wockhard) (iii) SEZ, Nanded.   5.2 Customs Division, Aurangabad and its Customs ranges All Customs work including factory stuffing in areas falling in the jurisdiction of Central Tax, Commissionerate, Aurangabad. 5.2.1 Range I All Customs work including factory stuffing in Aurangabad Tehsil including Municipal limits of Aurangabad city of Aurangabad district. 5.2.2 Range II All Customs work including factory stuffing in Aurangabad Tehsil of Aurangabad district excluding the areas falling in Range I. 5.2.3 Range III All Customs work including factory stuffing in the districts of Jalna, Parbhani,Beed 86 Osamabad. 5.2.4 Range IV All Customs work including factory stuffing in areas in the districts of Nanded, Hingoli 86 Latur.
